This project was done by hand, with local stone right from the property. It involved digging out an invasive hedge, and then replacing it with new soil and a poured foundation around the edge of the wraparound, 9' deep beds to support the field stone wall.

Low dry stone walls create the border and then are filled with anchoring Degroots spire cedars, along with layering of Annabelle hydrangea, spirea, hostas and a low-lying groundcover. Location takes full sun and is exposed to the elements but creates a lovely, natural frame for the old wraparound porch.
